Did you know that "Good Friday" is a bit of an American spin? In Germany, it's called "Mourning Friday." In Italy, "Holy Friday," and in Bulgaria, "Crucified Friday." But there's a reason we call it good, and I address that in this Good Friday sermon, delivered at Cherry Hills Community Church last year. It ends with a dramatic reading based on a prior work written by my friend Grant Fishbook, a pastor up in Washington State. If you can't get to your own Good Friday service, I hope you'll be inspired by this one.
