Wonderful Gary! We take Soo much for granted! So many today think it's never been this bad before??? Open our eyes Lord to see how much we are blessed today!
Eyes on the Cross, not on circumstance! Thank you Gary! My middle class sufferings don’t stack up to those who have gone before in the name of Jesus. I had a total knee replacement last year and then fell when I was out walking and destroyed my shoulder. The frustration and emptiness of not being able to do much is real and we must keep our eyes on Jesus and he will give us peace.
Gary, Maurine and I are in TX and we laughed because we were complaining that the shower in our hotel had a design flaw where you had to stick your arm in the cold when you first turned it on. Then I read your blog. I imagine Paul wouldn’t have minded the inconvenience.
Too bad about your meniscus. Hope God provides a remedy.
I'm hoping that I can dare to believe it myself, that, "“Whomever the Lord has adopted and deemed worthy of his fellowship ought to prepare themselves for a hard, toilsome, and unquiet life, crammed with very many and various kinds of evils.”" Lord Jesus, save me from the comfort and entitlement I seek.

That’s not an uncommon design flaw that I’ve been tempted to complain about on many trips…
