I wrote about God using dreams in my second book, Sacred Pathways, but haven’t mentioned them much since then. They’re not a very common occurrence for me--maybe six a year or so. But they can be quite impactful. In this very informal, short video, I invite you into our home to tell you about a dream I had the night before, and how God used it to redirect my thinking. When Paul tells us to be “transformed by the renewing of our minds,” that is in present tense: our minds need to be continually renewed. While Bible study is the driver for that for me 99% of the time, sometimes God drops a dream on me to awaken me out of a blindness. In this case, there was a truth God had given me that I had forgotten, and I was falling back into an unhealthy pattern of thinking. The dream reawakened me to a precious spiritual truth that felt like taking a spiritual bath.
