Thank you. I couldn’t understand why God brought up a scripture that has been troubling to me in the past (James 1:6-8). I’ve been seeking him and obeying as much as I can understand. Why is he showing me this troubling passage when he knows that I struggle with questions and doubts? I went on later that day to listen to a self help podcast that was new. The ideas and methods this man taught seemed legit. Then, I got to the part where he mentioned that he was a shaman apprentice. That stuck in my mind as a red flag. Long story short when I got home I looked up what being a Shaman means and realized this was likely not something God wanted me to be a part of. Then, I tied that together with James 1: 6-8 from earlier that day. It was a forewarning from God about being divided in my devotion. That podcaster was teaching that you could be whatever you set your mind to, but he kept sliding in money and riches. Your teaching helped once again reflect back to me my need for vigilance and devotion.
